First, you have a year to take advantage of the free upgrade. Everybody and their brother will be flocking to microsoft.com to get the upgrade and get rid of Windows 8. This means that the download servers will be jam packed early on and it my seem like it takes forever to download the 3 MB file.
Second, Microsoft has a history of having minor bugs in their new releases, so you may want to wait a month or so and see how consumers react to the new operating system. The upgrade is available to everyone who has Windows 7, 8, or 8.1.
Microsoft also announced that Windows 10 will include their new web browser, called Edge. This is the replacement for Internet Explorer that we have been telling you about. It also includes a digital personal assistant called Cortana (Microsoft's version of Siri).
